As you can notice, I haven’t been able to participate via my blog as much as I’ve liked.

For the longest time, I stared at all the emails and everything that seemed to fall to the wayside since the hurricane and wonder how I was even going to just get back to, well anything.

The best part of homeschooling is that it brings a wonderful routine to one’s day, no matter where we maybe. As I write this, home is slowly coming back as home and I’m taking each day as it goes.

This has been a looooooooong week. Last week I had day surgery that I had to undergo at the immediate request of my doctor and looking forward to what I had hoped for a restful weekend, it was spent keeping eye on Hurricane Gustav, that I praise God that it wasn’t the storm we all expected it to be.

I just couldn’t understand what was so thrilling about the ride. I can’t think how many times I tell my kids to consider their choices before they make it.

“Are you sure you want to wear your pj’s out in public”?

“Does lime green really go with purple and pink spots”?

It’s hurricane season for many who live along the coasts and a time for worry about the possible unknown.

Hurricane predication and where it is going is not always an exact science and like everyone else, the weather forecasters can always be wrong or at the slightest minute, a storm may pull a surprise or two.
