This Week’s “In Other Words”

“‎When the truth doesn’t feel true
is when we begin to believe it isn’t.
Satan’ biggest, most effective weapon against good girls
may not be lust or slander or adultery or addiction.
It is forgetfulness.”

Emily Freeman

I was cleaning when the song, “I’m Not Who I Was” by Brandon Heath came on and as I stopped and listen to the lyrics, these words just really stood out in the song:
“Well the thing I find most amazing
In amazing grace
Is the chance to give it out
Maybe that’s what love is all about 1

We all have a second chances ,even if we live what we think is boring lives and it doesn’t mean in that we don’t have regrets, need to repair or recover, but there are times when you have to be able to.just.let.go and realize you are much better than you allow yourself to be but its easy to forget that, isn’t it.

We can look in the mirror, during a bad days and forget about all that we have accomplished and just focus so much on a blemish that we just add one chain after another that weighs us down and make ourselves more prisoners than we really are.

The door is open, but its so easy to face the wrong end of the jail cell and ignore the open door that is behind us. The enemy likes to find and amplify faults…as Zig Ziglar puts it, ““Some people find fault like there is a reward for it.”

Can we easily do this to ourselves as we would be expected to not do with others….falling into that trap of finding faults, real or not?

You make a good point that some faults are not even real. We imagine them! Amen, sister! Let’s refuse to listen to Satan’s lies.

I so glad I had this post tucked away in your folder for review. It gave me a chance to come back here and read what my heart needed to remember.
