Do you have that one book that defines childhood for you?

Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, <a href='http://sunflowerfaith.com/tag/1'>#1</a>)

Growing up,the book for me was Anne of Green Gables; A fiery, talkative, red haired girl with a huge heart for her new hometown of Avonlea, but not without a “few” bumps and misses along the way.

I think what I enjoyed so much about this, was more than the fact that  I wish

my hair was her fiery red color, but her stubbornness and ability to be both sincere, strong and caring for the people around her.

A timeless classic, I read through the entire series, but the first book, has always been the one book that I loved the most and with Summer’s end, whispering around the corner, I guess I need to find myself another copy to re-read again.

It takes me back to my childhood and both humorous, loving and just filled with adventure that only Anne of Green Gables can bring, this is a book of my childhood.

How about you? What was your favorite childhood book?
