Goodnight Moon “Goodnight Moon” has become a family favorite , to read before bedtime, with the kids, part of our get together as a family and justan overall classic.

I find it funny that up till now, I had never really heard or read the book, and now it seems like everywhere I look, it pops up somewhere. There’s even a satirical one that was written called, “Goodnight Ipad” that you can read online via this link: wegivebooks.org/books/goodnight-ipad.

A very sweet book that, not only will I have memorized by heart, by the time the kids have grown up, but one that is sure to be a classic to be handed down and read to grand-kids, “Goodnight Moon” is definitely a timeless book that I so wish, I had discovered sooner.

Even just engaging the kids in discussing what is going on in the pictures, has been a great way of listening to the kid’s imagination as they dream up their own stories of what is going on in the illustrations.

We would talk about the bunny and the Grandmother Bunny, talk about what is she knitting, look for the mouse and talk about what the mouse must be doing this late at night…

How about you?

Do you have any favorite children’s book that you enjoy reading growing up? How about now with your own kids, what books do they enjoy?

We love this book! in fact we are on our second copy as our board book wore out. We read it every night for almost 2 years before my second came along and had a chance to pick a book. We also really like runaway bunny, check it out if you have a chance…
