It’s been awhile since I’ve worked through a bible study.

Mostly due to some wonderful life changes that happen and trying to re-organize my priorities in life (though studying and reading the bible is and always will be number one), but we live in a hectic world so I found myself falling behind in this area, so it was pretty great to get back to routine, sorta.

Due to the current busyness of life, I needed a bible study, that was in-depth but I could work through in small amounts, so when I stumbled across,Psalm 91 “He who dwells” by Laura Velez, this looked like a really good study for not only the summer, but to get back into the swing of things.

I was pretty excited to get back into studying the bible and the e-book bible study really looks to be a great study to get “back into the groove” with.

First of all, the study focuses on a few verses at a time. With my current busy schedule, it’s summer, this is a really great way to ease back into studying the bible and I can handle it at a pace, that it would have to be, very hard for me to get off track.

Second, its an e-book study.

Perfect.

I can load it via the Kindle app and go from there and take the study with me, wherever I am; Be it at a doctor’s appointment, we travel wherever for the summer, I don’t have to pack a ton of books and get a funny look from hubby, that basically says, “Just one…really, just one”.

Finally, the study sounded very interesting and I wanted to learn more what Laura Velez had to share.

Via Goodreads.com, this is what is shared about the book:
“An in-depth study into Psalm 91,and the Promise of Protection.

We have all heard this powerful Psalm, and find comfort in its words. However, many do not realize that it is a promise of protection for all who are willing to dwell in the secret place of the Most High…

You see, God offers us many promises. Sadly, we never learn about the clauses: our part in how to obtain the promises…

In this book, the promise and the way to obtain it is revealed. The verses are broken down and explained in detail. It is an easy read and well worth the few minutes it will take to complete. The knowledge you will gain mixed with a bit of faith is sure to open the eyes of the reader to the wondrous blessing of God’s promise of protection!!”

The book sounded both interesting, encouraging, challenging and hey…what a great way to use the summer to get back into the bible studying mode.

So how about you?
What type of bible study are in your summer plans or are you taking a break for the summer?
