They come in bright, fun colors.

They are irresistible.

Kids and adults enjoy them.

They come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

And when strewn all over the ground and left there in pitch dark, they are the most effective, deadliest home security you can have.

They are….

LEGO®S.

Yes….LEGO®s.

There’s nothing like the kids forgetting to pick up the stray LEGO®, or two, or the whole box and walking into the room….at night…half asleep and stepping on them….half asleep, as they quickly embed themselves into the bottom of first one foot…than the other foot.

So seeing this picture, I could relate to it, as well as anyone else, whose come to discover….what is more effective at slowing anything or anyone down than legos…

Sure you can create some pretty impressive sculptures from them and who doesn’t like colorful, can make anything out of them, legos, but when they are left, out in the open, for poor, defenseless feet to step on them…

Well….

They lose their innocent charm and become effective ways to take a grown person down.

So if you have had experience with these fun, but yet,  painful toys, feel free to share your own close encounter experiences with  LEGO®.

I laughed at this this morning! I can’t tell you how many Legos I have stepped on. My son has an obsession with them and there are thousands of them around. from tiny tiny to very large! The would make a great security system (Home Alone! LOL)

Oh yes! I have a love/hate relationship with those things! A mom with kids just older than mine assured me that they really were worth it – the best thing she invested in. Love the creativity, hate the mess and the fact that they never do seem to get picked up! Not to mention the little little little pieces that seem to multiply in every room of the house.
Thanks for that funny picture! :-) Have a great weekend!

WOW…I can relate too! I saw one of those bags that folds out to be the play rug. When they’re done playing you just pull the drawstring and SWOOP they’re put away. Somehow I don’t think it’d work!

We are just about at the Legos stage. I am dreading the full blown stage. Right now it’s containable. I’m going to start walking around the house in sandals as a percaution. ;)
