"Becoming a Woman of Faith" Book Review

Becoming A Woman Of FaithAuthor: Cynthia Heald
Published:2009, Navpress
Details:Paperback, 120 pages
ISBN:0785272445    (isbn13: 9780785272441)

“Becoming a Woman of Faith” is an impressive look at developing a faith based life in Jesus Christ. Perfect for a “quick” bible study or for short bible study groups, “Becoming a Woman of Faith” provides a look at what it means to be a follower of Christ beyond just knowing the right scripture to use.

Filled with personal ancedotes from the author and plenty of space for personal reflections, I enjoyed reading “Becoming a Woman of Faith” and like the fact that this is perfect for going on vacations or trips and still being able to have a bible study to work on without concern of losing pace.

Ms. Heald provides notable quotes from noted individuals as A.W. Tozer, while in between it all, really having the individual deal into topics of what is having faith and how to use personal struggles to grow one’s faith.

Something that came to mind as well as I read through “Becoming a Woman of Faith” was the fact that “Becoming a Woman of Faith”  makes a great gift idea as well, for new or even Christians who might have fallen off their walk and help them learn the basic of building a strong faith based in and through our Heavenly Father.

Well written, easy to carry in a purse or tote back, “Becoming a Woman of Faith” , I highly recommend this for moms on the go and looking for bible studies that are accomodating for a busy schedule, for women to take on trips or just for a gift.

I have her book, “Becoming a Woman of Strength” but had a hard time getting into the study (don’t know why). Could you point me in the direction of looking into reviewing for NavPress? How did you begin? Do they have a special website? Thanks!!! :)

This is my first book of hers to read, but curious if there is a difference between how “Becoming a Woman of Strength” was written with this? Just sent you an email with the info and need to post a button for Navpress too, lol, thanks for the reminder! Lol.

I’ve been pretty happy with Navpress and it’s pretty easy to get involved. I like the books they have to offer.

Is this a daily or weekly format?

The book has about 11 chapters so its really good for those who are looking for a short bible study, but honestly it’s really up to the individual. This is something that for myself, would be great to bring say on vacation or going on a trip or for those who are starting a bible study group since it’s “short” and not very in depth. So for some, weekly, others, this could be daily, because the actual reading is limited to 2 pages with roughly 3 pages of questions to go over, and some people tend to do all the questions or maybe the ones that really strike their hearts the most.

Lol, this is the “shortest” bible study that I’ve read and it wasn’t too bad. I enjoyed it but I’m not familiar with her (Cynthia Heald’s) other books to say if the others would be the same.
