Tonight’s a bit of a double post of this book study as I’m catching up from where I felled behind over the holidays. All things work through His Good though, for even though I’m catching up, at the same time, these chapters hit on relevant topics.
2010, I’m striving to work on some personal challenges that our Heavenly Father has laid on my heart and reading “Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study” has helped encourage and challenged me to strive to have a deeper bible reading life than ever before.
Using the S.O.A.P. method has been a great help and currently I am doing the “Bible in 90 Days’ challenge as well.
Reading this chapter, rings true what Lysa shared in it, “If we make the choice to ask for God’s revelations and help, He will not leave us empty-handed or empty-hearted.”
From personal experiences, reaching out to Him and calling out to Him and saying, I want a more active relationship than what I ever had before, has open doors that though at times make me think, hmmm…you know being back in the shadows wasn’t so bad after all, He on the other hand, really just laid it on my heart, “Come on…do more…In Service to and for Him”.
When that happens, it’s hard to be a shrinking violet, that even, your’s truly would like to be. Being outspoken and bold, is not my best ability.
Yet, earlier, well not this year, wow, but in 2009, I had a brief moment when…I felt I was going through a spiritual vallley and just didn’t feel God, but the truth is, that He was there all that time, I just had to stop and listen…really, just listen, but I was too busy trying to be in control of the situation, and laying down terms and conditions and forcing what shouldn’t be force, that it felt like walking into a buffet and still starving.
10 And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.
(Psalm 9:10, New King James Version)
“….those who seek You”, that’s what we should do, shouldn’t we…seek Him; Pursue Him, Look for Him, Call out to Him, just actively race for and to and just be with Him.
And He is there. Waiting. For us. Going no where. Just waiting. For us.
