Cafe Chat-Christmas Memory

For me, the best memory, is one that is re-occuring every year (no not a bad one…lol), but decorating the tree is literally a family effort that we do, not only at our house, but at each of the family house, so a weekend is blocked off, when we meet, en masse, at my inlaws house and decorate their tree and put up their decorations.Wait.I think that they just managed to find a way for us to do their work for them and we not know it! Just kidding. There’s traditional Christmas music and the very last thing to be put up, isn’t the star (though it does get put up), but the Nativity set  followed with the  Nativity story that we read after we place all the pieces of the Nativity set together. It’s a reminder of what Christmas is really about; Not about the presents, not about the food, but about Him .

I think that is a great memory…or tradition. I too have grown to like the time when we put up our tree…it was a bit stressful when the kids were little, but it gets better every year…Blessings
