Prayers that you have had a blessed and Merry Christmas, Gentle Readers!
It’s hard to believe that the year is almost over with and Christmas, it was both wonderful and humbling as we spent it with loved ones.
It was much simplier than previous Christmases before, but that was the blessing in itself, as it seemed that our Heavenly Father, has really used this year and this Christmas to lay His hand upon our hearts, and remind us of what was really important in our lives.
Surrounded by those that we love, the laughter, the food and remembering in the center of it all, it’s about Christ, first and foremost, not us-That’s where the true memories were made.
Not to say, it hasn’t before, but this year, seem a little more quieter and subtle and just more about Him, like it should be then I think we really have allowed ourselves to be.
Wonder why is that?
Is it because with the economy being a little tighter, that with less distractions that we are able to focus more like we should?
Is it just because as we grow in our relationship with our Heavenly Father, we began to realize more and more, it’s not about the world, or what the world wants, but it’s about Him first and foremost?
Right now, we’re still on vacation, and yes, I sneak in here and there, to post a book review or check email and to be able to say a “virtual hi” to friends I know and friends I have yet to know and pray I will know soon.
How has our Heavenly Father bless you this year? Has it been a little more different for you and your family?
As we take a deep breath and wind down from Christmas, look what lurks behind the corner now…New Year. It’s with prayer and hopes, that as we become new through and in Jesus Christ, that we use the New Year, to start off on a fresh foot with a firm foundation in and through our Heavenly Father.
The greatest gift I think I got for Christmas? Constant reminder and humbling that no matter what HE IS in control.
God bless you, Gentle Readers!
