I'm slowly working through "Becoming More Than a Good Bible Study Girl" and need to post a review about it, but just working through the chapters; It's a very encouraging, doesn't lecture, but helps point out the ways we tend to "dance around" actually reading the bible itself, versus how we tend to pour ourselves into doing bible studies themselves.

It's a really great book, because I can relate. I have honestly wanted to just really "just read the bible" and then finding myself getting caught up with daily life and some of the key things I've done, to really, keep myself motivated, is use what is called the "Life Journal" system.

There's more about the Life Journal on the side, but I really recommend using it and you don't have to buy the journal, but can keep it online or buy a blank journal book to use.

The method is very easy; You can read the passages online by going to lifejournal.cc or there's a bookmark that I can tell you where to get.

So far, I've found myself really using this method with more success and really finding time and just reading His word each day.

It's just one way...but it's something, for myself, I've really felt challenged and convicted about doing-reading the bible.

My pastor has been very encouraging and really just makes it a point to talk about every sermon, which I think more pastors and well, churches should, in helping keep each other encouraged and accountability because really...there is no better source than our Heavenly Father and His word.
