Springtime is upon us and great things come in small packages; I came across this verse and image and it reminded me of the excitement I felt seeing the seeds I had started indoors starting to burst through the seed starter kit.
It’s a reminder of how my husband had joked earlier on that “it wasn’t working” because he couldn’t see anything, but now that the seeds are bursting through, NOW he believes.
Faith isn’t about what you can see but what you are not able to see and believe in. It’s belief that no matter what, God is going to pull through so there is no reason to second guess or worry.
It would be great if God would show us the entire plan He has for us, but the thing is, would we really trust Him anymore if He did?
The truth is that He knows our hearts better than we do and He is not in the “If you, I will” business, instead, all He asks of us is to just trust Him and believe in Him.
It’s human nature to have doubts and fears but when it keeps us from following and trusting God, it becomes more of a stumbling block than a good foundation of faith.
It’s a good thing that God doesn’t doubt in His faith in us.
We don’t know where our faith will take us or can see what is going to happening and it helps for us to do our part, by just believing and trusting in Him.
Things may look small, but a forest had to come from something.
