Growing Long Hair Challenge Update

For those of you who are open to taking the challenge of growing your hair long, I would love to hear from you!

Leave a link in “Mr.Linky” and let us know how your first week went and for this first week discussion, what are some of the things you are using (other than not cutting your hair) to encourage your hair to grow out.

First and foremost here, has been prayers that as my hair grows out, it doesn’t become a source of vanity or idolism (basing my salvation to how long or short it is).

Secondly, bought some coconut oil (Louana is a great choice; Drop by Bev of “Christian Homekeeping” Hair Care 101 to find out more why), Frutis Leave-In Conditioner, Pantene has “Beautiful Lengths” Shampoo/Conditioner that I bought to see if that will help.

Third, I’ve made sure I keep up with my vitamin supplements and I read that eating tuna fish is a great source for protein? Anyone familiar with that? So once a week, for lunch, I’m having tuna fish for lunch.

Finally, cutting back using a flat iron; I don’t use a hair dryer, but I do use a flat iron and I use a gel/spray geared for flat iron use, but I’m cutting back on the heat big time, unless I absolutely have to.

OH YES!

No rubber bands. That can actually harm your hair.

If you are just finding out about this for the first time, drop by my post here to read more about the challenge and grab the linkback button that is below if you would like to participate.
