Time Flies—Missed my own bloggy anniversary

Written by: Twinkle Mom

in General Musings

This took me off guard. My blog anniversary came and went!

Can you believe it! One year, ago, 5 days ago, that I started “Sunflower Faith”. Where did time go? Oh, uhm, yeah, I remember. Lol.

Since homeschooling started and yes that windy thing, the hurricane, I’ve been caught up getting into the “groove” of teaching and in between all that, making it through a hurricane, only to find me here now….Forgetting my own blog anniversary.

This brings new meaning to the following passage for me,

“Jer 29:10-14 (NIV) This is what the Lord says: “When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

Praise God that there though there were many times I find myself trying to figure out what our Heavenly Father was wanting, through it all, here I am still, finding myself on different paths, different doors and all the way, amazed at our Heavenly Father through it all.

Our Father knows, I’m anything but perfect, and if anything, on top of having two left feet, I find myself on some days just catching my breath and trying to figure out what is it that God really wants for me, only to suddenly find myself swept away in His arms and pushing forward.

Sometimes knowing and sometimes not knowing but only trusting in what He has to say and want for us.

That’s the great thing about our Father though. We may sometimes think we know what it is, we really need and want for ourselves, only to find ourselves sidetrack by God, who has something bigger and better for us already plan.

We may not know it, but He does and it’s just about trusting Him and having faith that He has good intentions in place for us.

The funny thing is in the process, we don’t realize how much time has passed until something spurs our memory and we look back and go, wow…was that me then and me now!

Happy bloggy-anniversary, Twinkle Mom! God inspires me through your writing. Keep your light shining for Him, friend! I’m sorry I’ve been absent lately. Time does fly. Kristyn’s 8 months of pregnancy flew by, and Liam decided to come early.

I have been reflecting on that verse lately, too. Sometimes we find ourselves in strange places and wonder why God lead us there, but he is faithful and knows what he is doing.

And congratulations on your blog anniversary! Here’s to many more years of love and life!

Blessings & Happy Blog a versary!!!And I’m sure Time flies just not catching up on all that passes us by in that time! Like a time warp…from then to now! So I commented on back on Sept. 30th & here I am on now being Oct. 7th & many blogs to go! Just wanted you to know I’m so glad it’s in Our Father’s hands and plans because it’s way beyond me-I’m not sure we can figure it out & what He wanted as or when we going through it but you are so right about trusting & sometimes just having the strength to trust, the faith & hope to go on…I loved this & will hold on to this for now..”Sometimes knowing and sometimes not knowing but only trusting in what He has to say and want for us.”
Thanks & may God be with you, guard you & keep you as you move forward in Him!!!
