As you can notice, I haven’t been able to participate via my blog as much as I’ve liked.
For the longest time, I stared at all the emails and everything that seemed to fall to the wayside since the hurricane and wonder how I was even going to just get back to, well anything.
I realized though as I spent time focusing on just dealing with my immediate home, working on homeschooling that has taken up a lot of time, and just really focusing more on the family and less on the distractions what God was doing for me and my family by removing what was becoming a distraction.
He was reminding me of what was more important in life and I love blogging and would continue to be blogging, but at the same time, it was like He was pulling me back.
What had happen was both grief and a blessing because as the area slowly rebuilds, we are strongly reminded of what is more important in life and what isn’t important in life anymore
In a way, I felt like our Heavenly Father was working not only in my life, but in the lives around me, to remove the fear and instill more trust and direction in His will and want for us.
I honestly felt bad that I haven’t been more responsive as I usually am and pray that those I haven’t been able to be more in contact would understand, but I’m grateful as I slowly feel both the weight and the distractions slowly begin to lift from my shoulder, that I can see what our Heavenly Father was doing for me and my family at the same time.
It was basically like He was using this moment to remind us what was and wasn’t important and in the end all of things…help settle some fears and hurts we had.
The hurricane was a reminder that there are many events that come rushing in our lives and though we do whatever we can to prepare for them…that through it all, we bear testament in how we let our Heavenly Father work in and through us to bear testament to Him.
Things are far from normal for us right now.
I am more caught up these days homeschooling with little time for other things in my life, but it’s been worth it at the same time.
God used this to help us deal and overcome with a lot of the pain that still lingers from the impact of the hurricane…and He has used this to remind Him of what He offers and has overcome.
I thank Him that through all this, He is our Lord and Saviour and though we may face tribulations in our lives, that through Him and only through Him, we are strengthen into the child of our Heavenly Father so that through us, we can bear testament to our Heavenly Father.

You are right! Sometimes God uses the circumstances in our lives to put us back on the path where He want us to go. I have focused too much on the circumstances in my life to really see the blessings what has happened.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful verse of James with us.
Blessings to you and yours…
