What a great visual to demonstrate fear! In my younger life, I LOVED roller coasters. The older I get, I spend a lot more time thinking about what could go wrong before I decide whether or not to take the ride (not without white knuckles, though!) I want my spiritual life to be in exact constrast to that. The older I get, I want to spend much less time worrying about what could go wrong and I want to fearlessly embrace the ride, regardless of the twists and turns that may await. I've been praying a lot about this in recent months, as fear has long been a struggle of mine. For the first time, I'm longing to put that struggle behind me! It's something I'm slowly working on but honestly...I much rather stick to the kiddie rides...it's slower and much more fun with less the fear. The picture didn't really do the ride much justice since it actually stretches out quite a bit and what you see is just the "climax" of the ride but I can happily skip the beginning, the middle and go for the end part where basically I miss the entire ride and I'm at the end waiting for everyone else.
